Galileo GCS System Engineer(OD7-10-20)

Aurora is an established supplier of skilled manpower to ESA and in particular at ESTEC and ESAC. LSE Space/Aurora have the opportunity to expand our support to ESTEC.

Overview

The Galileo Project requires engineering support for the assembly, integration, and validation (AIV) activities of the Ground Control Segment (GCS) elements and segment that is being deployed in the Galileo Control Centre in Oberpfaffenhofen.

Within the project guidelines and constraints, the specific responsibilities will include the follow-up of the verification and validation of segment requirements, based on agreed GCS system design and interfaces defined at CDR.

In particular, the candidate will review, comment and witness the test cases and test procedures for each formal milestone, and will ensure that the evolution of the test cases and test procedures remains compatible with the GCS design and verification agreements in approved RVMs.

Additionally, you will contribute to the consolidation of the segment and element operations concepts, and will verify that the actual architecture can support them. The detailed tasks will depend on the specific skills of the candidate.

Specific qualification requirements

University degree or equivalent education in Electric or Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.

All applicants must be legally allowed to work in the Netherlands.

Location

The work will be performed on site at the European Space Technology and Research Centre (ESTEC) at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. It will also involve travel and work at Oberpfaffenhofen, near Munich Germany in the vacinity of our parent company LSE Space.

Contract

The holder of this post will be required to hold a Security Clearance to the level of Secret.
