Aurora, – part of SSC Group, is an established supplier of skilled manpower to the European Space Agency (ESA), specifically at the facilities ESTEC, (in NL) and ESAC (in Spain). Aurora’s head office is located in Noordwijk, the Netherlands and consists of an international team of experienced professionals supporting the multicultural and highly educated staff working onsite at either ESTEC or ESAC.

If hired, you will work at our Head Office in Noordwijk. You will be expected to be flexible and adaptable, reliable and quality driven. Above all you must be trustworthy and an excellent communicator.

Specific Tasks

  • Align with our company policies, guidelines and values in all actions.
  • Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the HR function by aligning with current priorities and fulfilling assigned tasks and responsibilities as needed.
  • Support the Country Managing Director with HR services in collaboration with managers and HR colleagues as relevant.
  • Be part of the Engineering Services HR team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, guidelines and processes within the HR field and ensure compliance with these by manager coaching and support.
  • Continuously contribute to the evaluation and improvement of HR strategies and processes to support our organizational needs and business goals.
  • Drive HR processes in the Netherlands and Spain throughout the employee journey from recruitment to onboarding, performance and development to exit.
  • Support managers and employees in matters related to personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch and Spanish legislation related to labor law and work environment.
  • Drive cultural change, and collaborate with leaders to enhance organizational and cultural effectiveness.

Specific Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, HR Management or equivalent.
  • A broad general HR competence combined with expertise in the areas of labour law & union negotiations and organizational health & safety.
  • Previous responsibility of developing HR processes in an international context.
  • Experience from recruitment of highly skilled professionals.
  • Knowledge of Dutch/Spanish Labour Law and applicable HR policies and procedures.
  • Fluency in both English and Dutch. Spanish is an asset.
  • Passionate, high-energy individual who’s both a self-directed team player and a brave change ambassador, ready to challenge the status quo and inspire transformation.

Legal and Security Requirements

  • All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
  • Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University.
  • Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident.

Location

The work will be performed at the Aurora Head Office in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.

Contract

  • Initially a temporary position (1-year contract), with the intention of transitioning to permanent based on performance.
  • Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands.
  • All employees receive good remuneration in line with function and experience.
  • When autonomous then teleworking can often be utilised on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • The standard working hours are 40 per week. Minimum 28 hours per week.
  • There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday.
  • Training to improve efficiency and strengthen your future career prospects is, of course, included.
  • Aurora contributes >15% of pensionable salary to a company pension scheme and employees can optionally make additional contribution.
