Aurora is an established supplier of Engineering Services to the European Space Agency (ESA), specifically at the facilities ESTEC, (in NL) and ESAC (in Spain). Aurora’s head office is located in Noordwijk, the Netherlands and consists of an international team of experienced professionals supporting the multicultural and highly educated staff working onsite at either ESTEC or ESAC.
If hired, you will work at our Head Office in Noordwijk. You will be expected to be flexible and adaptable, reliable and quality driven. Above all you must be trustworthy and an excellent communicator.
Job Overview
In this role, you will support the business at Engineering Service Division level, with cross-countries activities in the domain of expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage contracts, including Teaming Agreements, Service Level Agreements, CCN, and NDA.
- Ensure all contracts align with legal and company standards.
- Adapt templates to project-specific or client-specific needs.
- Coordinate with legal advisors for complex clauses.
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
- Assist in managing risks related to contractual obligations and escalate as needed.
- Ensure proper contract implementation and compliance with internal policies and with applicable laws and external regulations.
- Monitor changes in legislation that impact contracts.
- Maintain GDPR and security-related contract obligations.
- Maintain a central contract repository.
- Track contract lifecycles, key dates, and milestones.
- Monitor contractual deadlines and obligations, flagging and tracking critical deliverables and renewals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
- Keep stakeholders informed of obligations and deliverables.
- Act as point of contact for contract-related questions.
- Support project managers, procurement, finance, and HR with contract queries.
- Liaise with clients, partners, and subcontractors on contract negotiations.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve contractual matters.
- Track KPIs and Service Levels Agreements (SLA) defined in contracts.
- Monitor and report on contractual compliance.
- Identify non-compliance issues and support resolution.
- Conduct periodic contract audits.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and dashboards on contract status.
- Document contract history, changes, and correspondence.
- Support procurement processes and coordinate with finance on invoicing and payment matters.
- Optimize contract management workflows.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in contract administration or management, preferably within the aerospace, engineering, or high-tech sectors.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch or another European language is a plus.
- Good understanding of financial principles related to contracts.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Understanding of contract law and commercial terms and conditions.
- Proficient with MS Office tools; experience with contract management systems is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Legal and Security Requirements
- All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
- Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University.
- Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident.
Location
The work will be performed at the Aurora Head Office and occasional visits to European Space Technology and Research Centre (ESTEC) at Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
