On behalf of the Italian subsidiary of the group – SSC Italy – we are seeking passionate individuals with a strong background in space engineering and experience in real time operations to support one of our customers in Italy.

Responsibilities

SIM Officer develop, maintain, and execute spacecraft and ground system simulations for procedure validation, operator training, and mission rehearsals including the management of the simulator, setup and preparation of the simulator for the simulation campaigns. The main tasks will be the following:

  • Develop and maintain spacecraft simulator configurations (nominal and fault scenarios).
  • Execute validation campaigns for operational products and databases.
  • Conduct pre-launch, pre-maneuver, and anomaly response simulations.
  • Support operator certification and training exercises.
  • Log and analyze simulator performance; provide feedback to engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with SOEs and DB Analysts for model updates and testing.
  • Provide simulation reports and recommendations to SOM.
  • Prepare sim campaign, support the sim campaigns and operate the simulator during such activities.

Requirements

  • MSc in Aerospace or Space, Telecommunication Engineering or other relevant studies.
  • At least 3 years of working experience as simulation officer or similar role.
  • Simulation systems knowledge, training delivery knowledge.
  • Advanced level of English and excellent communication skills.
  • Normal working hours; extended or on-call support during major validation campaigns and readiness rehearsals.

Legal and Security Requirements

  • Applicants must be legally allowed to work in the EU and hold a European citizenship. Evidence of eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.
  • Copy of passport and degree(s) certificate.
  • Good conduct certificate from the country where currently resident.
  • Furthermore, in view of the nature of the work, all potential employees will undergo stringent reference checks.

Location

The work will be performed from a Control Centre located in Rome from where several satellites composing a constellation will be operated.
